Time Flies

I am in utter shock at the rate that October passed us by... I blinked and missed it. I am already missing the fall weather, birthday celebrations and yummy pumpkin treats. November is creeping by quite fast as well and I can hardly anticipate how fast another year will pass.

We were a busy family in October. Between school, work, ROTC and family we were home a mere 3 days I think... Maybe 4. We had fun yet are greatly looking forward to this weekend... the first in the last month that we have NO WHERE to go! Yay. So let's just dive right in to October--

We had a few injuries in October. Walking became running WAY too fast and Emmett's little feet just couldn't keep up with how fast he wanted to go. We took him to the ER for this one. They glued it back together... also gluing his beautiful eyelids to his eyebrow. Poor child.

This one was a bloody lip and a very sad boy for the rest of the day.

Preston and I ran in the Las Vegas Ragnar Relay. It was super fun.. at times. After my first run I wanted to kill people... but it got better. And I would do it again. Except I might be sick, or pregnant, or folding socks next time I get asked. Being with the whole crew was the best part... Running was the worst part. And sleeping for 2 hours. And then running.

But look, I did it! And I got a medal to prove it. And I haven't ran since...

Preston did AWESOME. He is tough and fast and can run good. If I can start running like him... or any of the other people in my group I will do it again.

We spent a lot of time outside enjoying the leaves and sunshine. We took a couple drives (like every weekend. Love you Chambers family.) through Sardine Canyon and a few drives up Logan Canyon as well. It was so pretty... Why can't fall last just a little bit longer?!?

Emmett and Preston enjoyed some football... while eating breakfast in their jammies. This was a morning ritual.

We had a fun Halloween. This is Wound Clinic Halloween style... or Toy Story, whichever you prefer. We were the hit of the hospital. Thanks Janice for letting me borrow your amazing slinky dog costume!

Emmett pretty much hated Halloween. His costume made him sweaty and angry... not a good combination. But he got some candy and became semi happy again.

We spent Halloween with some good friends, the Smedley's, enjoying pizza, pumpkin cake and laughter. We want to make it a tradition.

We have kids 4 days apart and it is super fun to watch them interact with each other. They enjoyed emptying the entire candy bowl... little busy bodies.

The news without pictures: Emmett turned one, I turned twenty something, and we had family pictures taken twice, Preston quit his job to focus more on school... I think that's all.

November has already been CRAZY so I will try to post something again soon!
