A Year of Wedded Bliss

It has been a whole year, today, since Preston and I became the best Mr. and Mrs. Chambers the world has seen.  I can hardly believe it. What a great year it has been!  Being married is wonderful and I can't imagine life without my best friend.  We recently booked a cruise with our friends Natali and Chad for this December.  We are counting that as well as our excursion a couple weeks ago to the beach as our year celebrations.

Today though is not the day of celebration that I wish it could be.  Actually it is turning out to be quite a terrible day . . .
Our car has been having some major shifting issues the past few days and yesterday we finally found a place that we think we can trust and took it in.  Today we found out that after $2500 our car will be fixed and lucky us we get a full year guarantee! You would think putting that kind of money into something they could give us a little longer than a year.  They told us that they basically have to gut the entire car.  Great.  Also it is going to take up to four days to fix . . . Happy Anniversary!

The adventure continues

Well we made it to El Paso.  We arrived last night after 8 or so long hours of driving, and 5 or so long hours of packing before.  It was rough but I am glad we made it.  Our apartment is super nice, clean and brand new.  We are all unpacked and its feeling pretty good!  El Paso is right on the Mexican boarder. . . and it feels like we are in Mexico.  Actually you can see the boarder line from the freeway.  It is going to take some getting used to but hopefully this can feel like home for the time we are here.

On Thursday, Preston woke me up really early and told me to get ready to go.  I had no idea what we were doing or where we were going but I got up and got ready.  We drove for about 3 hours and ended up at the beach in Corpus Christi.  We took a ferry and spent the day on an island called Port Aransas.  The weather was perfect and the water was super warm. It was so much fun to spend the day together, especially on the beach.  We counted it as a little first anniversary celebration since we aren't going to be able to do anything the day of.  I can hardly believe that we have spent almost a year being married... and we still like each other!

I wasn't very happy to be woken up early!

Yay for the beach!!! It was so beautiful.

What a cute hubby!
