I feel like I haven't seen many people lately so I thought a little life update was in order. Some are accompanied with pictures... I only take pictures of Emmett.
First things first... I passed my nursing boards!!!!
The good: I NEVER have to take the NCLEX again!
The bad: Now I have to start looking for a job.
The ugly: There are not a whole lot of jobs available in nursing in Logan... Plus I am picky about hours and days because our schedule is busy and I want to be home as much as possible. I want to work to keep my license.
The good: I LOVE this age. He is so much fun all the time. We play with toys and read stories and go on walks.
The bad: Getting teeth. Being whiny. Waking up at 6 AM.
The ugly: Cleaning the floors EVERYDAY!
Emmett is basically crawling now.
The good: He can go anywhere he wants
The bad: He can go anywhere he wants
The ugly: He breaks things, like the fridge for example. We have stairs and no gates yet. I clean every room at least 5 times a day... and I know it's just going to get worse.
The good: He lets us know what he wants.
The bad: He KNOWS what he wants and when he wants it. And there is no getting around it.
The ugly: It's getting worse. And he is getting louder about letting us know when we get it wrong.
The good: Emmett loves it! We have taken him out hiking twice already and either laughs or sleeps the entire time.
The bad: It makes an easy hike a wee bit harder... 20+ extra pounds. Maybe just for me because I am a wimp.
The ugly: No ugly. This backpack ROCKS. We love it! Okay wait I found an ugly... I look squarish in this picture. Ugg...
Brings me to my next update... SUMMER is basically here. (Well it was till it started raining again)
The good: Emmett loves being outside doing anything. He loves grass and walks and water.
The bad: Thin blond hair... I am so worried about his little head getting sunburned. And he won't leave a hat on.
The ugly: Postpartum body in a swimsuit. Not looking forward to it.
Biggest update. Preston is the newest member of the United States Army. And National Guard.
The good: Adventure. They pay for school. Debt free. A 5 year plan. (Preston is so excited to start this new life adventure! We both feel good about it and even though it sounds crazy, it's where we are supposed to be.)
The bad: He starts training in a week and will be gone till the middle of July.
The ugly: I don't own a baseball bat... Which means I am going to have to sleep with a blowdryer under my pillow.
We are super happy about where we are in life right now! Everything is falling into place and we have no complaints. We are greatly blessed!

ReplyDeleteOh, congrats on passing your boards! Also, you are more than welcome to come visit me in Santaquin anytime. Emmett can teach Landon to crawl! He really wants to crawl but just can't quite figure it out. Good luck with everything!
