In the Bedroom

So a few weeks ago, on a Saturday, I got bored. In my boredom I listed all out current bedroom furniture on KSL.com. When Preston got home from work I had already sold 3 pieces of furniture, a tall dresser, a nightstand and a smallish bookshelf. All of these items have been with me since I was small and it was time for an upgrade. A few weeks later I sold an older antique dresser that I bought after we got married. It was gorgeous and I loved it, but yet again I was ready for something new. I also sold some baby stuff that we didn't have anywhere to store... We came away with around 250 dollars total.

Then came the searching. And the living out of boxes. That was fun. And then making nightstands out of boxes. That was funner. And then I found it.... For 300 dollars.

All the pieces need new knobs. I am searching for the perfect ones... I will keep you posted. Anyway I am so super excited about my new MATCHING bedroom furniture! There is of course the usual wear and tear that comes from use but all in all they are gorgeous.

Ignore the mess... It has taken us forever to get it to look even this good. Spring cleaning was in full force at our house! And everything is those drawers is a keeper, all three massive boxes in the garage- loosers.

Emmett LOVES mom and dad's bed. And loves watching Baby Einstein while in mom and dad's bed.

Welp, now time for the decorating.

  1. I am a little jealous. We have purchased a bedroom set twice but both times ended up canceling the order before it was delivered. Maybe someday I will find one that I am totally in love with and will actually buy it. Until then we have the falling apart dresser that I grew up with and a two drawer filing cabinet as a night stand.
