The El Paso Life

I am really bad at this blogging thing.  Just in the past few days life has changed in many ways...

WE GOT OUR CAR BACK!  After 6 weeks of being in the shop and being carless we have a fully functioning car.  It has been quite the ordeal.  The mechanics that have been working with us have been fabulous!  I am sure they were just as frustrated as we were the past month.  Preston and I spent many hours this week hanging out at the mechanic shop waiting for the magic words "your car is ready!".  Saturday those words didn't come.  They sent us home with our car but we had to bring it back Monday for another part.  Monday they had the part but it turned out to be the wrong on... So they put the old part back in and told us that we may have problems starting our car.  We had been sitting at the shop for 4 hours and were seriously STARVING.  So we stopped at Whataburger (the best burger place in Texas!) for dinner.  After our delicious meal the car didn't start... and it didn't start for an hour.  It was a rough hour.  We spent some time dumpster diving for some little blue caps that I threw away.  Preston had a vision that maybe they would be the reason to help the car start.  They didn't.  The only thing that helped was praying.  Seriously.

The car is fixed!!!

OUR BUDDIES COLBY AND JULIA LEFT US.  They decided it was time to return to Utah.  We know this is what is best for them but we will miss them.  Last Saturday we all went on a little adventure to the San Isildro Misson Cafe.  It was pretty ghetto and we were scared that it was going to be nasty... but it was really good.  We were only ones in the place and I am pretty sure there was only one lady running the place.  It was a fun trip with good friends and food!
